Becca Balton is a DC-based, educationally-inclined display artist and, currently, the Scene Shop Manager for GW’s Corcoran Theatre & Dance program. Aside from scenic design and carpentry, she specializes in window and interior displays, smaller craft projects, and penmanship. Her recent projects have included freelance work as a technical director, 5+ years of display work at Anthropologie, wedding invitations and placecards, large-scale painted backdrops, a miniature foosball table, and more set building. She was the wood shop teacher this past summer at an all-boys camp (ages 5-12), so everything since then feels remarkably calm and controlled.
